Gavin Rous is a household name in South African pigeon circles and without a doubt one of the best fanciers in South Africa. This past weekend he won the yearling as well as old bird races from Zeerust in very tough racing conditions. His two winners arrived together at the loft after 10 hours 38 minutes on the wing. Speed 904mpm.
The yearling winner is ZA 17/4690. Her mother, ZA 15/22581, was bred by Bertus and raced by Gavin. She was an exceptional racer and Gavin transferred her to the breeding loft in 2016. Her father is super breeder BLIKSEM 16734 (Son Bliksem “alias Bakleigat Bliksem x Dogter Blauwe Bliksem) and her mother is BEN (Wittenbuik 790 x Little Blue).
