Dave Gilbert and Lance Bruin are household names in South African pigeon circles. They are excellent fanciers and their pigeons are winning at club and combine level and also in one loft races.
Dave and Lance won the Hanover Durban Combine race (648km 1342mpm 310 pigeons) on the 17th of July by 14 minutes 32 seconds with ZA 17/50215, a hen bred by Bertus out of 29234 (KROMME x DOGTER GOLDEN EYE) and Bliksem’s Caprice (BAKLEIGAT BLIKSEM x SILVER CAPRICE). 50215 is currently the best pigeon in the Hillcrest Homing club.
