The picture is of MJ’s RUDY (ZA 16/29173), a son of JONGE RUDY and MARIEKE JUNIOR. Bertus expects a lot of him in the breeding loft. So far 4 of his youngsters have performed very well in the races. One of them, ZA 18/108216, won a Combine race from Graaff Reinet 530km 1357mpm against 906 pigeons for Leon Payne of Wesselsbron.
Bertus bred three youngsters out of JONGE RUDY x MARIEKE JUNIOR and took all three, without racing them first, to his stock loft. They are ZA 16/29096 (hen), ZA 16/29097 (hen) and ZA 16/29173 (MJ’s RUDY). It was a very wise move because all three of them have bred 1st prize union winners!
