Bertus entered pigeons at DINOKENG LOFTS in his own name and also in partnership with Pretoria champion fanciers Die Huysers. They had an excellent race winning 6,15,34,73, etc. Their first two birds were in the winning pack and clocked 12 & 32 seconds after the winner.
