The distance of the final race is the longest of any One Loft Race in South Africa and most probably the world. The first two pigeons arrived at the loft at 17:42. Two minutes later another three pigeons were clocked. Two of the three, BORDER 19/1578 & 1579, were Gavin’s pigeons. What makes this result more special is that they are nestmates.
Their father is ZA 18/179948, a son of MR. EXCLUSIVE (Bakleigat Bliksem x Sister JEF of Rik Cools) and 0165 (Bakleigat Bliksem x Silver Caprice). Their mother is 83838, a daughter of GADDIN COCK (Ringlose of Gunter Prange line) and LINCOIN (linebred granddaughter of WITTENBUIK 370).

BORDER 19/1577 “SAMBUCA” – Chipo/Ludo Claesens/Koopman x granddaughter of LINCOIN. Best results: 13th 430km 1544mpm, 18th 522km 1407mpm, 32nd 814km, etc.
BORDER 19/1576 “WILD AFRICA” – Son of 29097 (daughter of JONGE RUDY x MARIEKE JUNIOR) and 18533 (SISTER OF LINCOIN). Best results: 3rd 235km 1382mpm, 8th 304km 1806mpm, 13th 100km 1517mpm, 39th 814km 1271mpm, etc.
LINCOIN is the mother of Gavin’s loft and in 2019 he introduced the BLIKSEM line from Bertus. 2020 is the first year that the Bliksem x Lincoin pigeons have been raced and the results to date are excellent.
