Oubasie van Heerden is newcomer to the sport and his first racing season was in 2022. He is a member of the Victoria West Pigeon Club and they compete in the Central Karoo Pigeon Union (Beaufort West and surrounding clubs).
This past Saturday they raced from Smithfield and it was a very tough race with headwinds of 40km/h. Oubasie dominated the result and won the club by 2 minutes 37 seconds with ZA 22 50930, a daughter of Kromme. She was 5th Combine against 517 pigeons.

7. ZA 22 AJN 399 – her father is BLIKSEM 0280 (Bakleigat Bliksem x 700) and her mother is 4734 (R80 000 Tom Lock of Joe Gomes)
10. ZA 22 50913 – her father is BLIKSEM 58 (Bakleigat Bliksem x 700) and her mother is 22321 (SON JAMES BOND x Hardy Kruger hen)
